This is a vintage Mason’s Ironstone pedestal base vase with a flared top in the Mandalay pattern that was made in England.  The body appears to be round, but is very rounded corner octagonal in shape and is 3” at its widest and 5¼” high.  The mouth is slightly oval.  This is a rare shape vase that is not in any of the on-line listings of Mason’s china; but I have seen it referred to as a “Java” shape.

It is in excellent condition with no damage or defects, other than a single smudge of the brown paint that is a manufacturing imperfection and can be seen in the sixth photo.  But look carefully at the photos because they are part of the description and they show all four sides.

It was donated by an estate to a charity thrift shop at which I do volunteer work, including selling on eBay those items which would not readily attract in-store buyers.

Note: I have another Mason’s Mandalay blue pattern Indian style 6” vase listed on eBay, as well as additional items in this pattern.  If also interested in others, contact me for pricing.
