The inside cover is stamped in red ink "Text book library No. _________ Howard Lake Schools Dist. 79" on the first page in pen is written "Remedial Reading" with a black blotted out part and a red smudge (which is also on the back of the front cover).  See provided photos.  I do not see any writing anywhere else in the book.
