SMS vulture was a small unarmored steel cruiser of the Imperial Navy. The ship left on the 18th. In October 1894 she was launched at the Kaiserliche Werft Wilhelmshaven as the sixth and last ship of the Bussard class and was already completely obsolete at the beginning of the First World War. Since May 1914 she had been reclassified as a gunboat in the South Seas. Because of problems with the machinery, she sailed to Hawaii, where she was interned. When the United States entered the war against Germany in 1917, the Americans confiscated the gunboat. They renamed it the USS Schurz, it sank off the east coast of the USA in 1918 after a collision with a cargo ship.
