Butterfly Wing Compact GWENDA made In England unused Bermuda. I believe this was made in the 1930's. This company was know for their butterfly wing compacts.

Gorgeous! - This adorable Vintage Butterfly Wing (not foil) Powder Compact by Gwenda of England is in lovely condition. Fabulous square shape all clasps and hinges are in good order, opening to reveal a nice clean interior, the chrome is in very good order, with a nice clear high polish steel mirror - with small round sifter & puff. The top is exquisite the colours bright and vibrant, using morpho blue butterfly wing, depicting a street scene with a house and a woman walking in a yellow dress in Bermuda, the base is black enamel and in very good order. Measuring c. 2.1/4" inch square. It is in lovely vintge condition - a beautiful piece that will delight the most discerning of collectors.

Note: I see one small issue- on the top upper right corner that top piece does not go all the way to the corner - there is a very small gap that happened during production. See pic - it really is not noticeable
