This is a steel brushed finish Zippo. Steel Zippos are popular collectibles; PAT.2032695 steel is only available from 1951-1953. The red striped candy box does not have the trademarked R mark after the ZIPPO mark until 1953.
Candy boxes without the R mark are rare.
Case:
Steel, brushed finish *Some scuffs. Since it is made of steel, there is slight rust on the back side.
