This interesting set consists of an old man winking (Toby Mug) and an old woman (Toby Creamer).

The old man has white hair with a tinge of light blue-green. He has on a high collared shirt with a yellow ascot with burgundy dots. He must be happy as he has a big grin on his face.

His companion the old woman creamer has white hair pulled into a bun with a tinge of light blue-green. She has on a hat with flowers in the front and black straps that tie into a burgundy bow. Her handle is an umbrella.

On the bottom of each piece is the Ucagco makers mark and the words Made In Occupied Japan. Occupied Japan was printed on pottery, porcelain, toys and other goods made during the American occupation of Japan after World War 2 from 1947-1952.

The set is in very good vintage preowned condition with no cracks, chips or restorations but there is overall crazing from age as would be expected as these pieces are at least 70+ years old. There are some very small manufacturing spots under the glaze and a little roughness to the bottom edge of the old man and wear on the handle all from use (as shown in the photos) but these do not distract visually.

As with all pieces with crazing they should not be submerged in water but simply wiped off.
