As with any Jack in the box, the locking clip is controlled by turning the handle. As you turn the handle the music will play. At the end of the tune the locking clip moves to the unlock position and the doll inside pops out. To return the doll, push the doll into the slot, then hold the trap door down while cracking the handle. At the end of the cycle the clip will move to the locking position and secure the doll inside the box. At this point you can stop holding the trap door as it is NOW locked in place.

It was tested and works perfect.
