Wow! Here is a great original set of these rare and iconic Flyer wide gauge passenger cars! These cars are the “Stadium” or “Century” set passenger cars, and are arguably the most attractive, and one of the rarest, sets of cars American Flyer produced in Wide Gauge, or Standard Gauge. Includes #4356 Baggage/Pullman car, #4351 Pullman car, and #4352 Observation, all in the attractive color scheme of real and red with brass windows and trim, red trusses, and set trucks. All 3 are all original with no touchup or repaint ever. They are in very nice condition, and much better than typically seen for this set! The sides are in great condition, with each car having some light staining to one side each. All of the original decals are fully intact, and the cars do not have the usual edge wear, along the bottom edge of each car side. Usually this area is all chipped up, so to find a set without that, such as these, is very rare! The roof of the baggage car has some spots of rust coming through, as seen, but it still presents very well. The other two roofs are excellent, showing only a couple small scratches. All 3 are correctly stamped underneath, and they have all trim intact, with nice bright brass trim. The lettering on the observation drumhead is mostly worn off as seen. This set was purchased by us out of a collection, where is sat on a shelf for the last 70+ years, making this the first time this set has been offered for sale in that time! Please examine photos as they are the best description. This is a set that collectors will search years and years for, do not miss it!
