Gama 287 electric harbor crane gantry crane 1956 original rare! 1703-02-39

Condition
Very well preserved with only minor signs of age and wear, according to photos. Everything old and original! We checked the rare crane extensively and what we noticed was that the battery compartment is in excellent condition, the contacts are clean and functional - the crane can be swiveled using the handwheel and works perfectly. Raising and lowering the boom works in principle, but the adjusting lever only engages in the upper two positions (in lower positions the lever forces become too great and the lever slips over the respective locking position) - Raising the gripper with motor power works (shift lever to At the back, sometimes you have to push the gear a little through the right window), but not the lowering - so there is something not 100% in either the switch or the wiring, the engine and gearbox are fine! The portal base has slight rust threads in places and on one side it has probably been exposed to light over the years (the paint there is a bit spotty and lighter in places) - Overall. the preservation is beautiful! Scope of delivery, equipment status and all other condition details as shown!
Description
Rarity! Harbor crane from GAMA from 1956 - it is the extremely rare first version of the harbor crane with a crane house, portal base and boom in sheet metal construction and with a smart battery compartment under the crane house - a 4.5 V flat battery (such as in the Distler Porsche) can be installed directly there (not included in delivery). Raising and lowering the grab (opening and closing automatically) was possible electrically and the crane can be swiveled 360 degrees using a handwheel. The crane boom can be raised and lowered using the left-hand lever. The portal base stands on four rollers that can be guided on a rail. Height to top edge of work light approx. 298 mm, in the highest position of the boom, height overall approx. 438mm. The crane was later available with smaller modifications and with a cable remote control until the 1960s.
