Rare original 1957 true first pressing of Billie Holiday’s All or Nothing At All LP on Verve / Clef moon MG-V-8329. Original “trumpeter” labels. This was basically her last great session, and features a wonderful assortment of the best players at the time, famously with Barney Kessel on guitar, and also including Sweets Edison, Ben Webster, Jimmy Rowles, and Red Mitchell. This copy has a little wear but really plays nicely. There are some scuffs and light marks but it is mostly superficial. The whole thing plays with only light background crackle noticeable in some quiet spots, or between songs. The first track, Do Nothin’ Till You Hear From Me, has the only real scratch, which isn’t bad. It pops lightly just a few times but goes away quickly and does not skip. Really a highly enjoyable and clear sounding copy. The cover has tape on the upper edge, but the lower edge and spine are untorn. There is a little shelfwear and light cornerwear but other than that upper edge it looks just lovely, as you can see. This is a very nice original copy, hard to find in decent condition.
