Very Pretty Women's Vintage Elgin 19 Jewel Watch. 10K Rolled Gold Plate Case with Boxed Domed Crystal. The face is pearlescent off-white with gold numerals and dagger indices. Mechanical Manual Wind watch in working condition.
The band is a Speidel Golden Templar 10K GF exterior and stainless interior scissor expansion bracelet. The band dates from the 1940's to 1950's, so I expect the watch is from that era also.
The really nice boxed domed crystal is in excellent condition. I cannot find any nicks or scratches on the crystal.
The face exhibits tiny minor scratches. The bezel and case exhibit some abrading commensurate with its age and wear. The watch band is in remarkable condition. The watch and band are still shiny with no gold loss.
The watch case is marked as 10K Rolled Gold Plate. And the case is engraved as follows: "With Love From Betty & Jerry 12-25-6." Not sure what the 6 signifies.
I don't know if this is typical of a vintage watch, but it needs to be wound a couple of times a day.
Comes in a black leatherette presentation/storage box.
