Classic stoneware trigger handled mug from Bennington Potters in the #1340 pattern.

The glaze on the mug is called satin white and it is somewhat hard to find because the pottery doesn't put it into production due to the difficulty getting the white to be white.  (They will occasionally make smaller items such as mugs in this glaze.)

The mug holds about 10 oz comfortably with some room left at the top.  (The Bennington Pottery website indicates that the mug holds 11 ounces) The mug has an applied trigger handle and a slightly flared lip.  The mug is about 4" tall, has a diameter of about 3 1/4" and has an overall width of about 4 1/2" (Includes handle.)

The mug is in very good used condition with no chips or cracks.  There look to be some marks about 1/3 of the way up on the interior of the mug, possibly from stirring.  There is a mark or stain on the outside of the mug. Other small imperfections (dimples, specks in glaze etc. are due to the nature of handmade pottery and are original to the making.)

Please view the photos and message me with any questions.   I have more pieces of Bennington Pottery in this glaze that I will be listing over the next few weeks.

Please message me with any questions.  Thanks for looking.
