Franklin Mint SILVER Roberts Birds House Wren Medal #31 Beautiful limited issue of 6700 sterling silver medal issued by the Franklin Mint in 1973, sculpted by famous sculptor Gilroy Roberts and bearing his mark (under the wren building the nest) in a clear two-sided Lucite case.   Pod has never been opened and coin looks impeccably clean.  See photos to confirm and further appreciate the fine quality of this medallion.

The medal measures 51 mm, weighs 2.33 ounces of solid Sterling silver, and is 2 ½-inches in diameter. This medal/medallion is one of the “Roberts Birds” series issued in the early 1970s. This series was not available to the general public, being reserved for advance Franklin Mint subscribers. The series consisted of 50 different medals and each individual medal came in a plastic capsule, but no other packaging.

This medal is one of the original issue without paperwork.  We have one other coin in this collection (Nightingale) listed at this time and are always happy to  combine ship to  save you in actual shipping cost.
