PREVIOUS OWNER WAS EARL C. SLIPHER, STATE REPRESENTATIVE.

This Magazine is in excellent, like-new condition.  There is very, very slight wear on the corners (see pictures). The old Magazine is tightly bound.  The inside pages look as if they have never been read.

There are several photos of the old cars, trucks, and road equipment.  The Back Cover contains a 1931 map of Arizona. The Back Cover contains a small label with the name of the previous owner, who happened to be an Arizona State Representative.

Earl C. Slipher was also a noted planetary astronomer, concentrating on Mars. He published Photographic History of Mars (1905-1961). In 1957, he appeared in the "Mars and Beyond" episode of Disneyland discussing the possibility of life on Mars.

The crater Slipher On The Moon is named after Earl and his brother, Astronomer Vesto Slipher, as was Asteroid 1766 Slipher, discovered in 1962 by the Indiana Asteroid Program.

He also served as Mayor of Flagstaff, Arizona from 1918 to 1920, and later as a member of the Arizona State Legislature until 1933.

It is almost impossible to even find this issue but to find one in this condition is incredible.
