EXCELLENT CONDITION!
This listing is for a loose SMURF miniature
PVC figurine
produced in 1978 by Schleich. First introduced in a series of 1958
Belgian comic strips by artist Pierre Culliford (known as Peyo), it
wasn't until much later that the Smurfs became part of mainstream
culture in America. The story of fictional blue gnome-like creatures
living in the forest has spawned TV shows, movies, video games and a
host of memorabilia! Chief among the items produced in the Smurf line
are these PVC figurines, made by the renowned German company Schleich.
Hundreds of different figures were produced in this series from the late
1970's into the 1980's, and they have become quite collectable!
This
figure depicts an artist Smurf, possibly Painter Smurf, holding a paintbrush and palette. The figure measures about 2" tall and
roughly 2" wide at the widest point. The figurine can stand on either leg for different posing options, and is made of sturdy PVC plastic. A true piece of
pop culture history and a must have for any collector of Smurfs
memorabilia!
Condition: The
figure is in outstanding shape with no damage to the PVC. There is the
tiniest specks of paint loss on the back of the left ear (Pic #10) that is easily concealed when displaying the figure.
Apart from that, there is no
paint wear, scuffs or loss of color, as is common on these figures. The
figure has been especially well cared for over the nearly 45 years
since it was
issued! No noticeable wear to the bottom, and the Schleich information
printed on the base is intact and legible. Exceptional eye appeal and
looks fantastic on display! Please reference the
