General wear and tear, scratch markings to the case. 
Faint scratch mark to middle of the dial near hands.

English jewelled lever silver cased fusee pocket watch. . 
Case has London hallmark for 1872, and the initials indicate John William Hammon as the casemaker. 
White enamelled dial with black Roman numeral indicies and steel hands with seconds dial. 
Movement engraved with WM Alexander, Hexham.
