PUDDING the OXFORD SANDY AND BLACK PIG FOLK POT – Animal Face Jug – Spice Jar

Height:     3   inches tall

Width:      5.5  inches wide

Length:     4.5  inches long

The Oxford Sandy and Black pig is a breed of pig originating in Oxfordshire. It is named after its color but also known as the Plum Pudding. It is one of the oldest pigs native to Britain. The breed has twice neared extinction but is recovering thanks to the efforts of the Oxford Sandy & Black Pig Society. They are very docile and able to be reared outdoors due to their coloration protecting them from sunburn. Pudding would make a great container for your kitchen, salt cellar, M&Ms, Tums, dice, or something special. I am very pleased with how nicely this little fellow fired out. The glazes work well with one another. The eyes are porcelain, he is stoneware. He is dishwasher and food-safe. As always this is my original and handmade design. Susi Nagoda Bergquist
