This
auction is for an original Ferrari handbook supplement (Kurzanleitung) which
would have been destined for an owner, in the Germany market (and possibly other German speaking),
of a newly delivered F430, from 2008 onwards, as an addition to the
full standard handbook.
The F430 debuted at the Paris Motor Show in the autumn of 2004, replacing the 360 Modena, and was produced until 2009 when
Ferrari unveiled the 458 Italia. The new V8 powered, 2-seater coupé, as with
the 360, took its name from the 4.3 litre size of its engine.
The
book, measuring 9cm x 17.5cm, opens
out concertina-fashion to 5 times this size allowing 8 small inner pages to hold the
information chosen by Ferrari from the main handbook. All of the text in this version is in German only.
This,
as the name conveys, is a shortened version of the full handbook bringing
together the instructions covering the main controls and functions of the car
but supplements the full handbook rather than, in any way, replacing it.
The factory catalogue number on the rear
‘cover’ reads Katalog Nr. 3240/08 - 1.
Auflage April 2008, but with no specific print quantity
quoted.
This VERY
RARE (due to the limited requirement for country-specific markets), more than 15 years old and owner-unused, book is in very good condition with minimal
markings of any kind.
