This is a unique, custom made, one-of-a-kind, fully functional Windows 10 computer housed in a Macintosh Classic case from the very early 1990s. With power turned off, it's almost impossible to tell that this Macintosh Classic has been modified - everything looks original!

Custom modified Macintosh Classic computer that has been completely gutted and the original electronics replaced by modern electronics: NUC-based PC with an Intel i5 processor, LCD color display with LED backlighting, modern power supply, etc. The only thing left of the original Classic are: the case, the keyboard, the mouse and the power cord.

Fitting a modern computer in a compact Mac has already been attempted, however, very few such attempts were made while keeping the original look of the Mac intact. This is an exceptionally well performed “upgrade” maintaining the computer's full original and unadulterated look and feel. Meticulous attention to detail has been expanded to keep everything in original (looking) condition: the CRT tube look-and-feel has been preserved by adding a sheet of Plexiglas that reproduces the original CRT's curvature, the original I/O ports have been maintained (the only operational port is the ADB port for the keyboard and mouse), the computer uses the original, period-correct, unmodified, Apple keyboard and mouse which plug into the original ADB port on the back of the computer. The power switch, the power socket and even the power cord are all Apple-original.... There is even a "sliced" floppy disk covering the floppy disk slot and hiding three USB ports. This partial “floppy disk” is also used as the computer's power switch. An internal speaker was also added to maintain the factory-original look.

Many hours were spent researching, designing, stripping, selecting components, building, detailing and testing this unique modern retro computer.

This modified Classic is equipped with a tiny and powerful NUC computer powered by an Intel i5 processor. It is equipped with 8GB of memory, 128GB SSD, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 4x USB 3.0 ports. It is running Windows 10 Pro. The screen is a sharp 8" color LCD screen with LED backlighting and 1024x768 resolution. This Mac has a built-in USB 3.0 hub with 3 (low-power) USB ports available for expansion. The USB ports are accessible from the floppy disk slot on the front bezel of the computer.

...and if you feel like “driving” an original Macintosh from the 1990s, it is easy to do with the included (fully configured and fully functional) emulator (see photos). The emulator provides the exact look (black and white), feel and functionality of an early 1990s Mac.

The overall cosmetic condition of the Mac case, keyboard and mouse is exceptional for a 30 years old computer. Almost no yellowing of the plastics as is typical of computers of that time period... and the case, the keyboard and the mouse have not been retro-brighted!

This computer includes a GENUINE Apple Classic case, a GENUINE Apple keyboard and a GENUINE Apple mouse – real, period-correct mouse with a ball! Even the included power cord is a genuine Apple cord! This computer is not to be confused with cheap, mass produced, modern knock-offs being sold with a (poor) reproduction case, an entry level processor and none of the original peripherals.
