A most attractive 1950s era Bakelite Telephone in Ivory, this being the General Post Office (GPO) 314 model which was introduced in 1953.  It has a rotary dial and a central press button labelled 'Call Exchange' with the other two button apertures being correctly fitted with chrome blanking plates.  The telephone is fitted with a drawer to the baseplate for storing numbers.  The Bakelite survives in great condition with no chips or cracks, and with great colour and shine. The handset is embossed 164-55 and again is in excellent condition, entirely free from chips and losses.  The handset is fitted with a braided cord, the phone itself having been fitted with a modern cable and jack that is compatible with modern BT sockets - though please note that this phone has not been tested as I no longer have a landline.
