Due to space issues, I am having another clear out of my collection of classic/retro vehicles,
so please feel free to also check out my other items for sale. All vehicles come with a current
V5c.
Toyota Paseo Si Coupe with a few tricks, 1996, 187k miles,
MOT to July 2024.
Full leather, air-con, Toyota Sera ECU and cams for added bhp! Rare body kit worth £300+ included in sale (new and unused, not fitted). A previous owner has contacted me and confirmed that the car was imported from Australia, hence the special leather/aircon options.
Not a classic yet
maybe, but definitely soon to be as these 80/90’s little Japanese cars are
catching on fast? However, it can already can be insured on a cheap classic car policy.
We, as a family, had three of these wonderful little cars, one has
just sold (silver one), my daughter used to drive this one until she recently
bought a green one (likes the colour better, only reason!), so this is now
surplus to requirements.
The Toyota Paseo is fast becoming a rare and desirable little
car, they are cheap to insure, cheap to tax and with very reasonable mpg they
are inexpensive to run. They are also very reliable with the fabulous 1.5 5E-FE
petrol engine and 5 speed manual gearbox. However, this one is a little bit more
special than most Paseos you might see (if you ever see one at all!) as it is an import from Australia and has
a couple of options that are extremely rare (or not sold at all in the UK?), air con plus a
full leather interior.
Another twist is that in the folder full of bills/history, it
states that the car benefits from having had Toyota Sera cams and ECU fitted a
couple of years ago, at 182k miles. This should give it a little bit more bhp
(110bhp is quoted in the history file)? I obviously can't confirm this, but it
does seem a little quicker than our other two Paseos were/are.
In addition to the rare options of full leather, air-con (and Sera cams and ECU), standard features include:
Folder
full of invoices dating back over 22 years (£000’s). There are 18 stamps in the
service book although it is a little patchy, the last stamp was in 2018 but
there are more invoices for work after then.
Please
note that if you want to improve the car cosmetically, then there ARE some
minor rectification paint jobs/bodywork issues to attend to:
As
far as I am aware, there are no known mechanical issues. Please refer to the
pictures to see the cosmetic issues as stated above. We have driven
this car ‘as-is’ as a daily driver as it still looks great, been very reliable
and has offered us no problems. It still turns the heads of car
aficionados wherever we go.
These attractive little cars are fun
to drive and great for commuting (Toyota reliability and economy). They are a
rare sight, but quite distinctive to the discerning ‘petrol-head’.
Please
note that this is a private sale and from my personal collection, the car is
‘sold as seen’ and no warranty is given or implied. Viewing is very welcome at
DH4 4TU, so you can satisfy yourself as to its condition.
A
£250 deposit is required by bank transfer or cash (no PayPal, sorry)
immediately on an agreed sale, with the balance paid and the car collected
within a further 7 days.
Collection
definitely preferred please, but delivery MAY be possible (at your cost)
depending on distance/timescales and the availability of my transporter
friend.
Thank
you for taking the time to look and please feel free to ask any questions.
Also, don’t forget to check out my other vehicles for sale too.
