Here is a Lionel 1656 Vintage O Lionel Lines 0-4-0 Steam Locomotive & 6403B Tender w/Bell from 1948-49. Since the locomotive is designed to haul only a few cars, it will look great working in any freight yard! Because of the high center of gravity of these steam switchers, it is quite common to find a switcher with one -- or both -- front marker lights damaged or missing. Additionally, the roof of the cab is often bent or damaged from high-speed derailments near a curve track! The locomotive features a motor, a reverse unit, an operating headlight, a smoke stack, a decorative bell, an operating knuckle coupler, metal side rods and metal wheels. The tender features an operating ringing bell that you can turn on and off, an operating coil knuckle coupler, an operating light, die-cast metal trucks, metal wheels and axles.
This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are light nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on these items. The bodies of both the locomotive and tender show signs of paint wear, chips, and abrasions throughout their surfaces and underframes. Maker jewels are different colors as one has been replaced by the previous owner. Lettering and numbering is also lightly faded due to aging. The wheels show signs of wear from previous use. When tested by our team the loco runs well, however no bell sound when tender is on track. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included. Check the photos for a detailed look at these items. Overall condition is Very Good.
