This listing is for a water tank outlet valve stem sealing ring (oring) for a Miele coffee maker model CVA 615 or 610. The piece is new.  The oring you get may be red instead of black. This oring is inside the water tank.  It is the oring that fits around the spring-loaded stem at the bottom (outlet) of the water tank.  This oring is the piece that keeps the water in the tank until the tank is put in place at which time the stem is lifted slightly to let water out of the tank and up into the water pump tubing.  Miele calls it a Water reservoir Sealing ring.  Getting the old oring off the stem is a little tricky.  I use of flat piece of spring steel that I have bent at about 120 degrees to take the oring off.  You have to push the stem all the way up and hold it there while "prying" the oring off the stem.  Putting the new oring on is not as difficult if you push the stem as far up as it will go.

If you are having a problem with water getting into the bottom of the machine and locking it out, it is NOT due to this sealing ring being defective.  It is more than likely a defective valve seat lip seal. This piece is under a cover that snaps in place over the valve seat which is on the floor in the back of the water tank opening.  I sell the lips seals.  They are much easier to put in than a valve stem sealing ring.  The lip seal comes with installation instructions.

I have all the parts for a CVA 615  and some parts for a CVA 610.  I also have totally rebuilt 615 and 610 machines for sale.  See my 615 listing for details.  If you want a rebuilt 610 model contact me for more information.

I will give you a trade-in for your non-functioning machine when you buy a rebuilt one from me.
