A Chinese Qingbai ware circular cosmetic box and cover dating from the Song Dynasty (960 - 1279), with lobed sides and a moulded lotus bloom to the cover. Measures 7cm in diameter and 3.5cm tall. There is a firing crack to the cover and a chip to the inner rim of the base. There is a slight difference between the colours of the glaze on the base and cover and the two parts may be mis-matched.
