ABOUT THE STAMP:The
illustration is characteristic of Eduardo Kobra, who used textured
layers, strong lines and fragmented sections. The artist employed black
and white images by placing them against colored checkered backgrounds.
Making use of a methodical grid planning, shading effects and swirls
completed the massive scale portrait, typically applied art on
buildings, walls and murals. The mural of Nelson Mandela was originally
presented at an individual exhibition entitled Peace in 2014 at the
Dorothy Circus Gallery in Rome.
