Salora SRP24 was launched as early as 1974.
Considering that this phone is 50 years old, it is in very good visual condition.
In appearance, the SRP-24 is quite similar to the newer Mobira MC-25 SA.
The SRP-24 is an Advanced Radio Phone (ARP) that uses the radio frequency 450mhz.

I have started the phone and it lights up and the speaker sounds, it also responds to transmission and channel change, but more than that it is not tested.

SALORA / MOBIRA HISTORY:
Salora began manufacturing radiotelephones in the early 1960s. The first model was the SRP-10.
The model was intended for the armed forces, but the deal did not materialize.
The radiotelephone was then sold to the Civil Protection and other authorities.
Production of car radio telephones (ARPs) in Salora began in the early 1970s.
Salora’s first ARP model was the SRP-22. It was fixed to the car.
The first portable car radio was the SRP-24, released in 1974.
It was also Finland's first portable mobile phone.
The device weighed 5 kg and its battery lasted one working day.
There were no similar phones on the market at that time. With the help of SRP-24, Salora became the market leader in mobile phones in Finland.
However, the car radio unit made a substantial loss.
The phones were made in stock because the number of customers was estimated to be too high. In 1975, Nokia and Salora signed a cooperation agreement for the development of radiotelephones.
Salora manufactured the SRP-24 and Nokia sold it under its own name.
The phone's market share in Finland rose to 60 percent. According to Jorma U. Nieminen, the Finnish mobile phone industry would not have been created without SRP-24. In the late 1970s, Salora phones were the market leader in the Nordic countries and were also the largest manufacturer in Europe.
As a continuation of the co-operation, a joint venture called Mobira Oy was established in 1979, to which both parties transferred their radiotelephone operations. The company became wholly owned by Nokia in 1982.
The company's name was later changed to Nokia-Mobira, which later became Nokia Mobile Phones.
