1950 Press Photo North American F-86 Sabres Take off in Formation, Washington

This is an original press photo. 12/18-Moses Lake, Washington: Four abreast, North American F-86 Sabres roar into the air in formation leaving black trails of exhaust behind. This type plane, the world's fastest jet fighter, went into combat for the first time over Korea 12/17 and shot a Soviet-made MIG-15 jet down in flames while traveling faster than sound. Photo measures 9 x 7.25 inches. Photo is dated 12-18-1950.
