Antique sardine box, REPAIRED, with blue floral pattern and fish finial. Consists of two parts - the fish compartment with built-in underplate, and the lid. Measures 8.25 x 7.25 x 3.75 inches approx (maximum measurement).

Antique sardine box, REPAIRED, and therefore suitable for display purposes only. The gilding on the fish and round the edges of the lid and underplate is rubbed, as you can see. There are some hairline cracks, and one edge and corner of the underplate has been extensively repaired in the past, and needs a little tidying up to fill a small crevice. Please see photographs.
