- Note: As add-on to rimless paddles increases your paddle weight by at most 60 grams. You need to supply your own glue that works out best on the surface material that your paddle is made out of. It is recommended that you work on a warmer room temperature and heat up the edge guard with a blow dry or heat gun before installation for ease of application on curves and prevent wrinkling around the curves. Apply blow dry heat at curves while installing as necessary.
Used as a replacement for worn out edge guards or as an addition to rimless paddles. Edge guard seals pickleball paddle layers and protects them from de-laminating. De-lamination is when the paddle face detaches from the core and it's the most common issue on rimless / edgeless paddles. With an edge guard you can dive for shots and not be too concerned about scratching your paddle’s edge.
