This vintage poster from 1987 features the iconic solar powered Sunraycer race car. In 1987, General Motors and 16 GM subsidiaries and an AeroVironment Inc. engineering team led by Paul MacCready designed the GM Sunraycer to compete in the first World Solar challenge in Australia. Sunraycer won the challenge. Car is now in the Smithsonian. The software was developed on a Macintosh personal computer by Joe Gurley and Mike Cassidy, and was also used during the race for tactical support. Measuring 54 inches long x 20", this large poster is perfect for any racing fan or collector.The poster is in excellent condition, but does have a couple of small creases and a few minor chips on the edges.
