This vintage Linemar Marx tin friction truck is a must-have for any Disney collector. Featuring Donald Duck, and Mickey Mouse on a gasoline tanker with the iconic Disney theme, this piece is a rare find from the 1950s. The box says is makes a siren noise. I don't hear that, but the friction part of it does work.
The box is in deplorable condition, but it's included, and it has cool artwork. The top is displayable, although there are tears and writing.
The truck does show signs of light playwear. Mostly to the back of the cab, also, look closely at the badges on the tractor door areas. Probably some kid did play with it occasionally, then put it back in it's box. That would explain the wear to the truck and box.
Like many Linemar semis, the connector on the trailer is missing, but the truck displays very well.
This is a very tough piece to find. Truck collectors AND Disney collectors alike know that.
