B+W MASTER UV MRC nano 77 mm is a professional UV light filter illuminated from both sides, designed to absorb ultraviolet radiation in photos taken in daylight. This is one of the most common and necessary filters among photographers.

Ultraviolet causes blurring and a predominance of blue in color images. This filter is ideal for shooting areas with very clean air, where there is increased ultraviolet radiation. Photos with a UV filter are juicier and more saturated, the bluish turbidity that interferes with perception is eliminated, and the color rendering remains neutral.

It is recommended to leave the filter on the lens to permanently protect the lens from external influences – dust, dirt, rain, snow.

The feature of the MASTER premium series is the most modern glass coating, which has 7 illuminated layers on each side, plus an additional eighth layer of MRC nano. The hydrophobic MRC nano coating reduces the adhesion of dirt particles and water droplets. With this nanocoating, the drop of water remains almost spherical and rolls over the surface of the glass, resulting in a first-class dirt- and water-repellent effect. This difference of the MASTER series is perfect for photographers who travel a lot and shoot outdoors, on the sea coast, or just on a rainy day. The level of light transmission is 99.5%.

The frame of the B+W MASTER filters is made of brass with a black matt finish to prevent light reflection, just like its predecessor (XS-Pro series). The filter has an external thread for additional accessories such as lenses, caps, hoods and other light filters. The ultra-thin design of the ring prevents vignetting when using short wide-angle zooms and ultra-wide-angle lenses up to 120 degrees (17mm lenses). The brass filter ring has a better grip thanks to a new grooved surface and a special functional coating for smooth installation and removal. The thickness of the frame is only 3 mm.
