In 1967, the Beatles wrote and filmed the first film for TV broadcast, ``Magical Mystery Tour.'' It evolved into a new phase with the release of the historic masterpiece "Sgt. Peppers" and was broadcast on TV on the British BBC at Christmas time at the end of 1967, and although it was controversial at the time of its release, it is now praised as a video work that was ahead of its time. ``Magical Mystery Tour''. It was later released in theaters in the United States and Japan, and was first released on video in the 1980s, and recently released on Blu-ray. This 2022 latest edition is "THE MOVIE SPECIAL COLLECTION=SGT. SPECIAL COLLECTOR'S EDITION 2022, which is a compilation of original footage that was broadcast on TV in the UK at the time, as well as previously released versions and documentaries that are currently difficult to obtain, as well as past soundtrack sound sources. Newly released as “=”! CD1 includes a complete soundtrack based on the 2012 remastered sound source, including the instrumentals used in the main story and unused sound sources. CD2 shows the evolution of the different soundtrack sound source mixes from the 1967 original mono mix to the remastered sound source for the video version in 1988, as well as "I Am the Walrus", which had the most version differences. Contains each remix sound source. DVD 1 includes the ``APPLE VIDEO EDITION'' (with Japanese subtitles), which was made into an official video for the first time in 1988 after the TV broadcast, and includes video restoration and video remix sound source by George Martin (with Japanese subtitles), as well as the original that was broadcast on TV on the British BBC in 1967. ・Contains version (unremastered footage before video and monaural sound source as original). The TV broadcast version here was rebroadcast in the UK in 1979, and is now the first appearance of the original unrestored footage, which is rare! DVD2 includes the ``FIRST DVD EDITION'', which was replaced with the original stereo sound source from the video remix sound source when it was made into an American DVD in 1997. In addition, a BBC documentary including valuable outtake scenes and interviews that was broadcast on TV in Japan in 2012 is also included with Japanese subtitles!
