NOT FOR EATING - DISPLAY ITEM ONLY

Here’s an original vintage wedding favour. I got this with a few vintage wedding gowns I picked up, amongst other things, so I’m estimating probably dates to the 50’s or 60’s, and I have had it in my glass cabinet for many years - the vintage handkerchief is tied with some pink satin ribbon and contains almonds (well I assume they are almonds…I’ve never opened as it’s been part of my vintage display).

It is decorated with some little dried sprigs and I believe the other flower that looks like porcelain is a sugar flower?? Wouldn’t want to eat that or the almonds after all this time…..so please don’t ….and keep out of the way of pets and children.

Some discoloration to the little dried sprigs. But overall, it is a sweet little item of a vintage wedding keepsake that displays well.

Traditionally almonds represented the couple's wishes of love, health, happiness, fertility, and a long life together.

I think it makes a good display piece, but could also be used as a study item….and maybe you can churn modern ones out using this as a template.

Will be packed with absolute care. Smoke free home.
