Description

★First recording of a "rebuilt version" of the 1966 TV broadcast, including commercials and subtitles, in black and white and color! ★The longest version of each version is recorded for the first time, including the first and last broadcast in 1978, the rebroadcast in 1980 after Wings' performance in Japan was canceled, and the rebroadcast in 1988 with revised footage! ★ Recorded for the first time in the latest version of the first video version in 1984, which has been digitally converted with the highest image quality! Along with the 1993 LD version, it is a complete recording of two past video versions that are different from the TV broadcast. ★Includes the TV special that aired in 1966, which can be said to be extremely valuable video material, as well as the TV special that featured the subsequent visit to Japan. Also includes additional TV news footage from the time. The Beatles' Japan performance in 1966 has now become a legend. In commemoration of the 55th anniversary of coming to Japan in 2021, a new edition collector's edition is now available as "Beatles in Japan 1966: Archive Collection"! The ``Master Collection'' contains the unedited original masters of the two existing Budokan performances, while the ``Archive Collection'' includes previously broadcast versions, TV special programs, news footage, and videos. As the title suggests, it is an archive video collection that covers all versions. DVD 1 includes for the first time a "rebuilt version" that attempts to completely reproduce the 1966 TV broadcast as it was at that time, including commercials and captions! Although it was a color broadcast that was groundbreaking at the time, it was intentionally recorded in black and white (B&W), including the existing commercials of the time. This is a nostalgic vintage video that most people at the time who watched TV in real time could only watch in black and white. Next, a special program that was broadcast as the first and last TV rebroadcast in 1978, 12 years later, is included. Although it was called a rebroadcast, it was not the July 1st performance that was broadcast at the time in 1966, but the June 30th performance the day before, which was rejected, and was taken out of storage and released for the first time.It is now a historical program and will not be rebroadcast or made into a video later. This is a valuable TV broadcast that includes live footage of the undercard. DVD 2 includes a special program that was rebroadcast in 1980 when Wings' performance in Japan was canceled due to Paul's shocking arrest. Don't miss the content that looks back on the history of the Beatles and conveys the situation at the time, including comments that convey the regret of canceling performances. Next, we recorded the 1988 special program, which was the third and last TV broadcast. It was rebroadcast as an exclusive live video of three major artists along with Elvis and Michael Jackson, and unlike before, it will be broadcast as a remastered video version that includes a comparison scene with image correction. The content is unique to the time, including documents from the time and interviews with those involved. DVD3 includes for the first time the latest version of the video version first made into video in 1984, which has been digitally converted with the highest image quality! Compared to the reissued footage, this first video footage is the most beautiful and includes the footage that has received the highest praise among collectors over the years. Also included is the 1993 LD version with different captions and track listings. The two versions that were made into videos in the past, which are different from the TV broadcast, are completely recorded, so you can compare the differences. Additionally, a color edition of the 1966 TV broadcast "Rebuilt Version" is also included as an additional recording. The last DVD 4 contains valuable TV documentaries and news footage from that time as "TV AND NEWS FILMS". In particular, the TV special broadcast in 1966 is a must-see documentary that captures the frenzy that preceded Japan's arrival and the social conditions at the time. Also included are later documentaries that look back on those days, ``Five Days of the Beatles' Stormy Visit to Japan'' and ``103 Hours of the Beatles' 40th Anniversary of Their Visit to Japan.'' The set of 4 DVDs covers everything from past TV broadcasts and video footage, each with different editing, to a documentary on their visit to Japan, and is the ultimate video archive totaling more than 8 and a half hours that cannot be missed as research material for the Beatles' first and final Japan performance. ·collection!
