miles. restoration project, spare or repair
It has a Ohlins rear shock, an EXUP RU upside down front end and an EXUP RU and carbs.
The RU engine is of un recalled mileage but has been in the frame for 15 years, it has a bent selector fork as it makes a bit of a noise in 3rd gear, it has been like this for 10k miles with no metal in the oil, just a bit dis-concerting. I have owned the bike for 22 years and it has now sat for 6 – it has been dry stored, undercover, in a shed all that time and was last MOT’ed in 2018. it has shortened dog bones (5 mm) raising the rear and quickening the steering, it is also a tooth down on the front cog but I doubt the chain is up to much use.
There is a spare engine, the original, which has sat in dry storage for 15 years and had some 45k on it when It was changed out, I can not recall the reason , I think I suspected the gear output bearing, other wise was a good fun motor too.
There is no plastics with the bike, it is presented as it is in the photos, the front mudguard if from some ducati or other, the head light is an LC clone. Other wise sold as seem, the orginal brake where removed to stop them seizing on the bike and will be found and added to the bike, there is a spare set of wheels with it too, I’ll dig out what ever else I can find as I am emptying the shed. Has a set of keys for the tank and ignition and comes with the v5
please pay on sale completion and collect within 3 days , or by arrangement, otherwise it will be relisted, i found parts that go with this, including the original dog bones, spare coils, indicators and various other bits and bobs, the fitted engine had a barnet clutch, plates and springs and i have a spare clutch with half the spring of the barnet set (it would not fully disengaged when all barnet springs), spare spindles, engine mounting bolts and other assorted exup bits, including better front brake calipers and headlights and fairing stay.
also found an ru wiring loom and a rear shock that goes with the bundle
