The centuries old technique of originates from the north-western area of Bengal in India. It is a beautiful process of recycling, taking old saris and making something new from them.

The Adri silk staff is uniquely handmade from two layers of silk that have been stitched together with a detailed circle design. As a handmade item, any irregularities are part of the charm and story of the piece.

The main side is a rich blue with yellow, red and white stitching while the reverse side is just as attractive in a rust orange.

Adri is quite beautiful and adaptable, she can be worn as a scarf or wrap, or can be displayed as a hanging or throw as part of your home decor.

This has a label “Le circle des couleurs Paris” leading me to believe it was originally sold in Paris.
