MX P50M 50 Watt HF Linear Amplifier.

I am selling the amp simply because I could not get it to work with my  Xiegu GM1 5W HF qrp rig that I also sold last year. This is almost  certainly due to my inexperience, having only very recently come onto the HF bands.

I looked up all the info and in my photos is Dan W7RF's "chapter and verse" on how to get the non-sensing MX P50M into transmit using the its special trigger line. This works simply by needing to be grounded somehow on transmit.

The linear for sale is actually a replacement from the main MX P50M UK importer after my returning the first one as "faulty" when it probably wasn't!

As you can see from my photos ( including one of the circuit board) the linear is still in "as new" condition and powers up normally with all bands lighting on the selector switch. I carefully retained the original power and TX trigger leads and connectors ( see photo) so my guess is that a more experienced operator will get it to work. But sold on a "spares or repair" basis.

Postage:- UK Second Class £3-50, Europe tracked airmail £9, rest of world £14. The amp will be carefully packed in a strong new box with plenty of soft infill.

Please note - payment or contact is required from the winning bidder within 24 hours of the auction end ending or the sale may be cancelled

UPDATE - From Youtuber "The Old Tech Guy KB9RLW" power module should be a Motorola MRF 186. Checking eBay I see these for around $20/£18 new. He also says trigger wires need to be closed to transmit.
