Vintage Faventina Faenza Italy Ceramic Pottery Majolica Small Plate                                                                                     Multicolor Floral

Nice estate find in this antique/ vintage Italian faience plate!  This plate was made by the Fabbrica Faventina ARS company in Faenza Italy from the time period of 1923 to 1942.    Here is info I have found on the history of this company:

" It was owned by the brothers Francesco and Ezio Castellini and Luigi Masini, thus the initials CCM. The symbol in between the letters is a stylized peacock feather which was designed by the avant-garde artist Gianetto Malmerendi. Of the four different marks used by the company during its lifetime: this is the most collectible and desirable. It was used between 1923 and 1942. Ceramics by Faventina are considered to be among the finest made in Faenza during this period."

The plate meaures 7 1/4 inch diameter.   Nice floral spray in center in colors of gold, blue and soft plum, with dark orange and green.   Gold rim.  One tight crack on back of plate from rim that measures about 1 1/4 inch long with a tiny nick near it. Please view the photos.  It has a flew glaze skips and kiln marks on back as well. Displays well~ !
