THE BEATLES / LET IT BE-ORIGINAL SESSION+REEL MASTERS (1CD+1CD)

Description

<ORIGINAL SESSIONS REAL NAKED STEREO MASTERS>
"Let It Be" was released in May 1970 as the Beatles' final album. Although the album was initially recorded as ``Get Back'' in March 1969, the later album ``Abbey Road'' was released first, and was eventually overdubbed and replaced by Phil Spector. This album went through many twists and turns until its release in 1970, and in 2003, a new remix version was released as the ``original sound'' with ``Let It Be Naked''. However, in reality, due to remixing, there were re-edits using multiple sound sources and editing that differed from the actual original sound source, so the result was not necessarily naked, but this time, the naked "original sound" was extracted from the session master sound source without overdubs or processing. Completely reproduced in its original state. The first half contains songs in the order of the original album as "Real Naked Stereo Masters". "Across the Universe" and "I Me Mine" are also the sound source from the Get Back session, and the original Nagra tape is a monaural sound source and a master with a beep sound for video disturbing, but this time A/B Restoration work such as multiple roll tapes and detailed noise removal have been performed, and the latest remastering has turned the monaural sound into real stereo, with vocals and instruments completely separated by track, resulting in a truly "real naked" album with unprecedented high sound quality. It is finished. In the second half, the original album is reconstructed as "Remix and Remasters" based on the remastered sound source by Ron Furmanek, who was in charge of remastering the 1992 movie version of "Let It Be." “Across the Universe” and “I Me Mine” are also Glyn Johns and John Barrett mixes, with more remix work added than the unedited first half. If you compare these two versions and the official album by listening to the editing content, stereo mix, and remastered sound texture, you can see the differences between them, and it can be said to be an interesting reference for sound source research.

<US STEREO AMPEX REEL-TO-REEL TAPE L-3401>
"Let It Be" was released in May 1970 as the Beatles' final album. At that time, the transition from monaural, which was mainstream in the 1960s, to stereo progressed, and the Beatles' records ``Abbey Road'' and ``Let It Be'' were not released in monaural, but only in stereo. Under these circumstances, reel-to-reel tapes, which are not records, are also being sold in various countries, and in the UK, monaural as well as stereo tapes are being sold. At that time, vinyl records were the mainstream, and even now, reel tapes, which have no playback equipment except for some audiophiles, are not widely distributed, and due to their rarity, they are sold at high prices at auctions as rare items. Direct transfer of reel tapes. On CD. Contains both American AMPEX stereo sound source and British EMI monaural sound source. Although it has now been officially remastered and made into a CD, you can enjoy the straight sound texture unique to the original analog sound source at the time. The British monaural sound source, which is said to have no mix difference just by folding down the stereo, is valuable as an official tape sound source that is not made from vinyl, and it is also attracting attention as a collector's item because the songs are recorded in a different order than usual. This time, the original tape sound source has been newly digitized and recorded in the highest quality at the moment with restoration work that only removes hiss noise. The jacket and inner jacket also include actual backside photos of the US and UK.
