Tascam 488 MkII 8-Track cassette multitrack recorder bought new by me towards the end of the production. It is in full working order having been recently reinstated with a new capstan drive belt. Reinstatement checks confirm that it still records to all eight tracks, plays back from all eight tracks and erases to all eight tracks. All switches, sliders and pots free and clean to move. The Record/playback LEDs all display correctly. The Transport window clicks into place correctly and releases fine on its spring loaded operation.
Fairly light use from new but not used in the last 10 years prior to being reinstated. The Tascam 488 MkII user manual is not supplied. However, a .pdf copy containing the key information appears to be available on-line at:

Supplied with a new old stock TDK SA60 Type II tape and a new old stock Memorex CDx Type II C90 tape.
