This listing is for a darling, classic 1950's style girls pink wool and white faux fur winter dress coat.

Although, I don't think this coat is vintage, it is a classic 1950's "dressy" design. Styled with a gored, fitted bodice and full skirt, a button down front, and faux fur on sleeve cuffs and collar, it really IS a cute "Sunday go to meeting" dress coat. It features a classic, 5 button closure, side seam pockets and a mock belt at the back waist. I live in Michigan and I wish I'd had this for my girls on many Easter Sunday mornings! Even though I like picturing Easter as "warm and Springy", so very often it is cold, overcast and even snowy!

The outer layer is a pretty pink wool blend and it is fully lined with a quilted pink silky nylon. It carries a "London Fog" manufacturer's label and a manufacturer's care label. It also has a sweet "wearer's identification" label, which hasn't been filled out and an extra button!!!

The manufacturer's care label; suggests to dry clean. And I'm sure you could... but I have worked with textiles for a long time and felt that it would be ok to hand wash, in addition to it looked like someone already did - but they didn't lay it out nicely to dry.

I did hand was in cold water and then just rolled in a thick towel to remove water. Then laid out on a dry towel and pressed the wrinkles out with my hand. I think it turned out very nicely. So, yes, it has been freshly laundered.

The label states that it is a "S", size 2T. Please do your own measurement
The measurements are as follows:
From center back at collar seam: 21"
From sleeve seam to sleeve seam at back shoulder: 11"
From under arm seam to underarm seam at back: 14 1/2"
From shoulder seam to sleeve hem (with out folded cuff): 15 1/2"
From shoulder seam to sleeve hem (with 3 1/2" folded cuff): 12"
From side seam to side side seam at hem: 28"
From front opening to front opening at hem: 71"

Overall, this item is in very good to excellent condition. It has no stains, rips, tears or damage. I do note that there are some moth damage (see photos #13  & 14); like the fuzz has been eaten but it has not made actual holes. These areas are hard to see with the eye. It has been freshly laundered. The faux fur on collar and cuffs is in nice condition and not matted. This item does not smell of smoke, mildew, must, mothballs or have pet odor.
