This Shires Sweet Iron Bevel Bit with Raised Ribs bit allows mild leverage and helps with control.

This design of the bit has the raised copper ribs on the mouthpiece of the bit, to help stop the horse from leaning on the bit.

The sweet iron and copper combination used in this bit provides a warm bit for the horse which encourages salivation and emits a pleasant taste. Sweet iron bits are designed to oxidize to produce a sweet taste which helps with mouthing.

The 4.5" & 5" has smaller rings 55mm ( photo 4 )
The 5.5" & 6" has 75mm rings
