This vintage one of a kind Indonesian Java hand-carved wood Wayang Golek puppet features a rare fearsome vampire or demon design. Crafted by skilled artisans in Indonesia, this piece is a testament to the country's rich culture and craftsmanship. The provenance of this puppet can be traced back to Java, an island known for its traditional puppetry performances.

The puppet seems to be very old and shows signs of age. It has some paint chips as seen in photos. Some of the strings holding movable parts together look to have been replaced through out its existence. The dress material seems to be very old fragile along the bottom edge. It is missing a portion of the bottom edge along the backside as seen in photos. The bottom edge is also torn as seen in pics. Please see photos for more on condition and more details.
