Good Antique French Four Glass Clock
Nice French brass Four Glass clock. The case is unusual with decorative cherubs at the bottom of the front. The top has a pattern, when others are flat usually. The effect is completed by four decorative finials.
It has a good pendulum with glass tubes and strikes on a gong. The movement is signed 'Couaillet fres' who are not makers I've had before. when the dial hands are manually rotated they strike as they should. Springs are good and fully wound.
The case and movement are both in need of a really good clean, after which this clock should work. The thick bevelled glass panels on each side are mainly very good with only a few minor chips worth mentioning. The dial is enamel with a nice decorative garland of flowers on them along with the original hands.
