``Carpenters/At the BBC1971-1976'' CD&DVD special collection, which is a collection of footage of the Carpenters broadcast on BBC TV in the UK in the 1970s. The CD includes the latest stereo remastered complete version of the BBC studio live performance from the first appearance in 1971. This memorable BBC TV show has been rebroadcast and recorded on DVD, but the CD contains the complete version as it was broadcast at the time. The original broadcast was monaural, including two songs by Tony Joe White that were cut in the rebroadcast, but it was recorded in a stereo version using the latest AI technology when converted to CD. Karen's vocals stand out more and the performance has an increased three-dimensional feel, making it the latest remastered sound source that has been reborn with high sound quality. The DVD contains the 1971 BBC Studio Live and 1976 New London Theater performances based on HD quality video sources from the BBC rebroadcast master. In addition, the DVD extras include ``Close to You'' from BBCTV's Top of the Pops and documentaries previously broadcast on BBCTV.
