FASHIONED OF A SHIMMERING GOLD LAME WITH BLACK COTTON VELVET TRIMMING THE THICK RUCHED WIRED COLLAR, DOWN THE FRONT SNAP CLOSURE, ON THE BOTTOM RUFFLED PEPLUM AND IN LARGE BELL DETAIL ON THE CUFFS.
THE INTERIOR TOP IS LINED IN A UTILITARIAN COTTON AND PENCIL INSIDE READS IRWIN.
THE PANTS ARE BASED IN SILK WITH COTTON BINDING TAPE AT THE TOP AND CLOSES WITH HOOK AND EYES IN THE REAR.
THE CROTCH IS MEANT TO FALL LOW AND BOTTOM LEGS ARE GATHERED. THE PANTS HAVE A PLISSE CRINKLE TEXTURE THROUGHOUT.
CONDITION: THE TOP HAS WORN HOLES ON THE INNER SLEEVES ON EACH BOTTOM ARM, NOTE THE IMAGES. THE LEFT CHEST HAS A DOUBLE THUMBPRINT HOLE OF FRAY AND A SMALL LINE OF FRAY AT THE UNDERARM SEAMS ON EACH SIDE OF THE REAR. LIGHT TARNISH IS SEEN TO THE BOTTOM REAR BACK JUST ABOVE THE VELVET, BUT IT IS MILD.
THE PANTS HAVE A FRAYED OPEN SEAM IN THE CENTER CROTCH THAT IS EASILY CLOSED. THERE ARE SOME AREAS OF TARNISH TO THE FRONT PANTS WITH FOUR HOLES TO THE FRONT WITH THREE TINY HOLES ON THE REAR. AN ADDITIONAL SMALL GROUP OF HOLES IS SEEN ON THE REAR RIGHT LEG ON THE BOTTOM AT THE RUCHING. FABRIC COULD DEFINITELY BE STOLEN TO MAKE REPAIRS NEEDED.
SUCH AN UNUSUAL, BEAUTIFUL, SHIMMERING LAME COSTUME. I JUST WISH WE HAD MORE HISTORY ON THIS WONDERFUL PIECE.
