2023-24 Panini Revolution Basketball goes against the trend of promised autographs or memorabilia cards in every hobby box. It also charts a flashy path that’s largely its own, using different types of foil backdrops for dramatic effect.
Although hits aren’t guaranteed, Revolution hobby boxes do have some promises. Collectors should find a parallel in every pack as well as either an insert or a Rookie Card.
Everything in Revolution uses bright foil in the background. This includes the main base set. Combine that with the other lines and design elements and there’s enough going on that you won’t have to worry about dozing off sorting a stack. This boldness is one of the brand’s trademarks.
It also builds into the set’s parallels, which bypass the usual colors for different foil patterns. Levels include:
Short printed Galactic parallels also return. These don’t have serial numbers but they are tough.
New this year are SSP Rookie Variations for select cards.
Revolutionary and Prime Time Performers are two other rare chase sets.
Other inserts on the checklist include Liftoff!, Rookie Revolution, Shock Wave, Supernova and Vortex.
Autographs may not be in every box, but they are still in the product. Rookies, stars and greats from the past all rank among the signers.
