F-104G Starfighter - German Air Force - Hobby Master, Item HA1008 - 1:72 Scale (2007 Release).

General Background:
The F-104 Starfighter was a revolutionary design with short razor-sharp wings. It was the first aircraft to be able to maintain Mach 2 not just in short bursts. The Starfighter shattered speed and rate of climb records that still are impressive today. This extremely high speed earned the plane the nickname "The Missile With A Man In It". Because of financial considerations 15 or more countries purchased the F-104. The Starfighter flew with the USAF in 1958 and the last airplane was decommissioned in Italy in 2004.
The Aircraft:
The German Air Force purchased about 1/3 of all F-104s produced, 915. The first operational unit to receive the Starfighter was Jagdbombergeschwader 31 "Boelcke"(JBG31), in 1961. This is the oldest flying unit in the present day Luftwaffe and named in memory of Hauptmann Boelcke who was a WWI ace many times over. He also helped develop many of the fighter tactics still used today. April 1982 Luftwaffe F-104Gs surpassed 200,00 flight-hours. The F-104 was a difficult aircraft to fly.

This wonderful model accurately depicts a real aircraft.  

An unused, undamaged item in its original packaging. Box in excellent condition. The model and box contents have never been removed from the inner plastic packaging (that's your privilege when you buy it).

Some features: 1:72 scale diecast metal (with minimal plastic), discontinued item, accurate depiction, highly detailed, single seater clear opening canopy, cockpit detail, realistic panel lines, professionally painted with accurate markings, attachable weapons, attachable undercarriage, rubber tyres and a stand included. 

An absolute premium quality and good looking model released way back in 2007.

Postage Charges: Owing to postage costs varying between different international destinations, I have generically based overseas postal costs as if sending to the UK and Western Europe from Australia. If you live elsewhere it will usually be slightly cheaper. However, for buyers located in Scandinavia plus middle and Eastern European countries, please contact me before you buy providing your country name and I will advise the actual postage cost. (Unfortunately the postage cost will be a bit more more expensive owing to the long distance from Australia). 
  2. Postage overpayment Refund: I will refund an international buyer any applicable postage overpayment, (on the day I post it). 
  3. Postal Tracking Service: The small cost for overseas buyers is included in the postage charge, (Tracking is free for Australian buyers).
  4. Postal Tracking Number: Will be advised to ALL Buyers: You can then sign up to receive regular emails to inform you of the parcel location on its journey to your door.   
  5. Postage For Australian Buyers: your postage cost includes a secure, 'Delivery Confirmation Service', i.e. your parcel has to be received in person by someone at your residential delivery address. Should no one be there to receive it, a note will be left for you to collect it (with ID) from a nearby post office.
  6. Packing: The box will be carefully packed and your name and address details clearly displayed.
