The Glock knife was designed for the Austrian army. It is a sharpened prybar, heat treating is on the soft side, so it is very tough. The factory edge is at a wide angle, not very sharp, it is designed for use as an emergency stabbing weapon, it is not a great cutter. The blade coating looks like that used on Glock pistols (tennifer). The tip is dull and Glock done it for a reason: in a stab attack the tip will not stick into the enemy's ribs. One side of the handguard is a cap lifter or a bottle opener. Handle is a rounded polymer, super strong weather-proof lightweight plastic. The sheath is very well-constructed, knife can be used by left- and right-handers, strong side or cross-draw. The integral retaining clip holds the knife very securely, the clip needs to be pushed back to remove the knife. The knife can be inserted either way into the sheath. There is a small loop in the back of the sheath for a tie-down, and a drain hole in the bottom. This is the original early model with a round logo.
